Paste Input Array

The Paste Input Array command pastes values from the Windows clipboard to an overlay. The standard Paste command treats hard carriage returns in text data as a signal to change rows. Many MODFLOW input files, however, have hard carriage returns at points that may not coincide with the end of a row. The Paste Input Array command ignores hard carriage returns. This command also ignores any selected cells. Instead, the command transfers data starting in cell (1,1) and continues to paste first across columns then down rows until no data remains on the clipboard. Open an existing MODFLOW input file in a word processing program. Copy the property or stress data (global sources or sinks, such as recharge or evapotranspiration) for a particular layer, then paste the data into the appropriate Graphic Groundwater overlay with the Paste Input Array command. A comma, at least one blank space, or tab character must separate values in the MODFLOW input file. This command will not work with the drain, general head boundary, river, or well overlays (Cell Stresses).
