Paste Cell Stress The Paste Cell Stress command presents four additional commands, Drain, General Head Boundary, River, and Well, all designed to transfer data from a MODFLOW cell stress input file to Graphic Groundwater. The data on the clipboard must be in the same order as a standard MODFLOW input file for cell stress; with layer, row, column, followed by hydrologic properties for a particular stress. The first line in the selected block of text must contain the number of the stress period. For example, if you would like to transfer data from a MODFLOW drain package input file, open it in a work processing program. Add a line specifying the number of the stress period before the data specifying the layer, row, column, drain elevation, and drain conductance for the different drain(s). Select the data you would like to copy, including the line with the stress period. Paste the data into the Graphic Groundwater model. Any selected cell is ignored, because the input data contain the location of the stress(es). MODPATH also has a similar input file for each stress in a model, but this file also includes the discharge face at the end of each line of data. Graphic Groundwater can recognize data copied from a MODPATH stress file and extract the information on the discharge face. A comma, at least one blank space, or tab character must separate values in the MODFLOW or MODPATH input file. Consult Chapter 4 for more information on these commands. |
