Go to Model Mode

The function of the Go to Model Mode command depends on whether or not you are creating a new model or modifying an existing grid in Grid mode. After you first create a grid, the Go to Model Mode command will present a warning message to make sure that you have completed the grid to your satisfaction. If you click on the Yes button in the dialog box, the Graphic Groundwater Layer Qualities window will be displayed. Here is where you enter default values for the different properties or characteristics of the porous media, as well as the layer option (LAYCON) and anisotropy ratio (TRPY) for the first layer of the model. When you have entered the defaults, click on the Finished button to enter Model mode (see the section on Graphic Groundwater windows, later in this chapter, for more information on the Layer Qualities window).

If you are modifying an existing grid, one that already has properties and stresses associated with it, the Go to Model Mode command will display the Convert Grid window. Consult the section on Graphic Groundwater windows for more information on the Convert Grid window.
